Red Velvet's Joy is criticized for her performance on new tvN drama 'The Liar and His Lover'. 

The drama just recently aired its first episode on March 20. However, it garnered great attention even before the broadcast as it was Joy's very first drama. The fact that she's playing the female lead in her debut production also brought attention, as well as a  controversial discussion on idol actors.

As many assumed, Joy was quickly met with criticism after the drama finally aired. Many netizens are claiming that Joy is simply not good enough to take the lead. 

Netizens commented, "Her acting is definitely not good enough for the lead", "Honestly, she's so awkward", "Why do they use idols for the lead??? There are so many talented actors..", "I like Joy but her acting makes me cringe", "She sucks and so does Lee Hyun Woo.."
