The girl group officially announced that they're going separate ways in June of 2016. HyunA�was the only member to remain in Cube Entertainment�while Gayoon and Sohyun�joined new labels to pursue their careers in acting. Jiyoon also had a fresh start as solo artist Jenyer.�

When asked about 4minute's disbandment, Jenyer�stated, "Sometimes when I watch past videos of 4minute, I get nostalgic." She also shared thoughts on Gayoon and Sohyun's shift to acting. Jenyer said, "Honestly, I was very worried at first but now I want to applaud their passion."
