On September 22, missing college student Park Ye Ji evoked suspicion by sending an SNS message to her sister saying, "I am fine, so don't look for me", on the 10th day of being missing. Despite the public's worry that the message may have been from an imposter, Park Ye Ji's message turned out to be 100% true, and she was found completely unharmed with her boyfriend later the same day.
Her boyfriend was the one who reached out first, calling Park Ye Ji's mother and stating, "I'm with Park Ye Ji. We will head to the police station soon."
After the call, police tracked down the location and found both Park Ye Ji and the boyfriend at the city of Yeosu in the Jeolla Province. Park Ye Ji claimed that it was her decision to run away from home, and her boyfriend did not threaten or enforce any action.
Ultimately, the case has been defined as a runaway and Park Ye Ji is now safely returned home.
