Shortly after the news that KBS banned Black Pink's "BOOMBAYAH" due to its lyrics, YG Entertainment revealed the agency was already on the case to get the song approved.
YG Entertainment told media on August 17 that the lyrics for "BOOMBAYAH" have been revised and re-submitted for approval, and the agency is currently negotiating a lift on the ban with KBS. YGE stated the song was rejected due to references to an alcohol brand as well as the lyric, "Middle finger up F."
