A reporter who had claimed Seungri drove while intoxicated has been ordered to pay 7 million KRW (approximately 6,300 USD) to Seungri.
On September 11th, 2014, Seungri had been at a party in Gangnam. The next day at 3AM, he had been driving home in his car and had ended up crashing into the car in front of him while going over the speed limit.

Kim, the reporter, was told by someone else at the party that they had witness Seungri drinking. After this, the reporter wrote two articles questioning if Seungri had drunk and driven. However, the police had checked if Seungri was driving under influence and had revealed that Seungri was not drunk while drinking.
Accordingly, in September last year, Seungri had sued Kim for defamation of character from his tweets and articles, and had demanded 50 million KRW (approximately 45,000 USD). On the 21st, the court ruled that Kim should pay Seungri 7 million KRW for damages.
