Ever wondered how much AfreecaTV BJs (broadcast jockeys) make? Well, it turns out that some of them make enough to dough in a week to last a good half year.
A picture titled 'Ranking of AfeecaTV BJs' profits in the first week of February' was uploaded online on February 9, showing how many 'balloon stars' (which translate into cash) each BJ received from their subscribers from a period spanning from February 1~7. The profits were compiled in order of highest to lowest, in descending order.
The BJ who topped this ranking earned a total of 262,000 ballon stars in one week which converts into over 20 million KRW (~$16,668 USD) in cash. Close behind in second place came a gamer BJ, who earned 241,000 balloon stars which equals 18.6 million KRW (~$15,502 USD) in cash.
