'Cheese in the Trap's creator Soonkki had taken issue with being left in the dark with the drama production, and late last week, she had written a lengthy post in an attempt to clear up some of the misunderstanding that occurred among the fans of both her original work and the drama remake, particularly regarding the ending of the drama as the original work, her web toon, is not yet complete.
Now 'Cheese in the Trap's production crew has come forward with an explanation of their own which they uploaded on their official Facebook page Monday.

The production crew wrote:
"First, regarding the writing Soonkki uploaded about the 'Cheese in the Trap' drama, we're sorry for failing to take the original creator into account with more care. We were too focused on producing the drama that we forgot to share the script with the creator after the series' midway mark. About the importance of the ending, we want to apologize about only sharing the script once we have entered filming for the ending. Director Lee Yoon Jung has already personally apologized to Soonkki and the writer has accepted her apology.
We tried our best to nicely wrap up the main characters' stories and emotions so we hope that you'd be able to watch without any prejudices.Once again, we're sorry about inconveniencing all the fans and we hope that you'll watch until the end."
