Ailee has returned to the music scene after a year with her LP 'VIVID,' and on September 30, she held a music showcase at the Seoul Mapo District's Yes24 MUV Hall to officially kickoff her comeback! 

On her new album, Ailee said, "Once you listen to [my album] you will hear a variety of genres. I want to be a singer who challenges herself with different styles of music. I don't want to keep doing the same genre and sound; I want to try many different things," and admitted, "It's always nice to hear that I sing well," laughing. 

Ailee also mentioned her collaborations with f(x)'s Amber and CNBLUE's Jonghyun for her new album, saying, "It was so fun because they are my friends. Jonghyun called me out of the blue and said he has a song that he really wanted me to feature on. So I gave it a listen, liked it, and we wrote the lyrics together, which resulted in an awesome song." 

She added, "Amber had finished the work [for our collaboration] a long time ago. Even after we recorded, my heart was fluttering and I just felt good inside. I think it's a blessing that you can do music with your friends. I felt the significance of doing something together because we all enjoy it."
