The legal battle between Kim Hyun Joong and Ms. Choi is becoming a bit, just a tiny bit, less complicated now as Choi's side has decided to retract their most recent lawsuit against Kim Hyun Joong's lawyer. 

As previously reported, Ms. Choi had sued Kim Hyun Joong' lawyer, Lee Jae Man, for libel, explaining that he swayed the general public's sentiments to view her as a gold digger and blackmailer through various interviews and comments made to the press.

However, now it's been announced that Choi has decided to withdraw this recent lawsuit. Her legal team issued the following notice:

"Kim Hyun Joong's ex-girlfriend will retract her lawsuit against Kim Hyun Joong's lawyer Lee Jae Man, and we will stop participating in unnecessary fights.

After the initial lawsuit was officially filed, Kim Hyun Joong's side insisted on 3 things - that there was no pregnancy, no assault, and no miscarriage. His lawyer also made personal attacks against our client using words like 'blackmail', 'threat', and 'fraud'. 

We provided text messages exchanged with Kim Hyun Joong to refute Kim Hyun Joong's side's claims and sued them for defamation and slander. However, it seemed that this is being reflected as a fight between the lawyers of the two sides rather than it being a personal fight between the individuals involved. 

So we will be focusing only on the lawsuit between Choi and Kim Hyun Joong. We decided that filing a lawsuit against Kim Hyun Joong's lawyer is not a part of our core intention, so we will be retracting our lawsuit against lawyer Lee Jae Man. And from now on, we will not be participating in any unnecessary fights. However, if Kim Hyun Joong's side issues statements that are far from the truth or make malicious speculations, then we will respond to that to clarify.

Currently, our client and Kim Hyun Joong's claims are contradicting. We will trust the court and leave everything up to them. We hope that the truth will be revealed through the court.

Finally, we also request that Kim Hyun Joong's side also refrain from holding unnecessary interviews with the media. We wish everyone good health."
