Previously, an MV teaser for an undisclosed rookie singer going by 'Y' caught attention due to its release during Yoo Seung Joon's attempts to reach out to South Korea. There were many hints in the video, such as the general look of the cartoon character and the use of letters that symbolize his name, that caused people to wonder if this symbolized his comeback as an artist in the country.
While Yoo Seung Joon's side shortly thereafter denied that he was attempting to make a comeback in Korea, 'Y's side had remained quiet about this until now. The agency stated, "'Y' is not Yoo Seung Joon."

The MV had been released at the end of last month, showing the initials "SJ," which people claimed stood for Seung Joon. The agency replied, "Talk related to this is completely groundless, and this has absolutely nothing to do with Yoo Seung Joon. The initials, SJ, in the MV are the initials of Soo Jin, the student to the manhwa artist, Kim Soo Yong, who drew the MV.
"Due to the Yoo Seung Joon controversy, people are thinking 'Y's true identity might be Yoo Seung Joon, which strayed from our intention to do a mysterious concept in order to see success solely through the music; this is a shame, which is why we released an official stance."
However, more curiosity is rising about 'Y' as the agency revealed that there would be no meeting about a second album or broadcasting promotions for 'Y'.
