EXO-L's are understandably sensitive and protective when it comes to their boys, so it comes as no surprise that they got riled up after a former KBS announcer's words rubbed them the wrong way.
On March 30, the press conference commemorating the release of EXO's second studio album, 'EXODUS,' took place at the SM Town Coex Artium on March 30 with Oh Jung Yeon as the MC.
Considering that Lay was absent as he was filming his Chinese movie, Oh Jung Yeon playfully said in a video message with the member, "You're going to come back, right?" to which he replied, "Of course, I'm going to return. There's EXO." She ended with, "I hope you return for sure rather than stay in China. Safely."

This tęte-ŕ-tęte earned an explosive response from fans who seemed to have been hit directly in the heart by her comment considering two Chinese members failed to "come back" last year.
As the controversy grew, a rep from the event stated, "While trying to express her interest in EXO, announcer Oh Jung Yeon ended up saying something like that."
The netizens have been criticizing her for her unnecessary comment, saying things, such as, "Why did she ask such a question?" "What an improper question," "She's really frustrating," and, "Is that something for an announcer to say? How did someone like you become an announcer.. Hurting EXO once again. I hate that thoughtlessness."
