This edition of 'Who Wore It Better' is a male battle between a veteran and rookie fashion icon: Rain and WINNER's Mino. They were both seen wearing the Silhouette Pattern Sweatshirt by 'Lanvin'—a simple black crew-neck sweater with a white silhouette. Rain wore the sweater at a press conference for his new drama, 'My Lovely Girl,' on September 15. Mino rocked the sweater during WINNER's 'Inkigayo' performance on August 31.
Rain opted for a country club theme. He layered the sweater over a white button down and paired the combination with fitted checker pants and black velvet loafers. Mino went for a minimal chic look. He, too, layered the sweater over a white button down and rolled up the sleeves for a more natural, relaxed look. He topped off the look with simple gray trousers and a pair of deep red sneakers.
Although I am a huge fan of Rain, I'm not a huge fan of how he styled the sweater. There's something about the pants and loafers that looks unbalanced—I think simple black dress shoes would have gone better with the bold pants. So, while each individual component of the outfit is fine (for the most part), the combination of the patterns and textures is a bit overloaded. Mino, on the other hand, nails this look. I like that he kept the entirety of the outfit simple, giving off a city-boy vibe, but added a pop of color with his shoes. The outfit was a perfect balance of sophisticated and youthful.
