Shinhwa's Andy had recently been summarily indicted on the charge of illegal gambling.
Right after the prosecutors announced the criminal investigation on November 14, Andy's agency, TOP Media, used their homepage to relay an apology:
"Firstly, we apologize with a bowed head for causing many fans anxiety with this shameful activity . . . Henceforth, he will halt all official activities and try to have a time of self-reflection and examination for the time being. In addition, we have communicated Andy's following opinion to the production teams of the programs he had been appearing in at the present time.
He will try to never again cause worry to the people who send him a lot of love through an event like this. He once more sends his apologies."
