JYP Entertainment subsidiary JYP Pictures has entered a collaboration with China Oriental Performing Arts Group to produce a film together.

Both CEOs of the respective companies signed the contract at the China Oriental Performing Arts Group headquarters on the 29th. Through this collaboration, both sides will invest in each other's production costs while JYP Pictures will offer their know-hows on films and dramas. Their first film together will portray an inspirational story about singing and dancing which will premiere in theaters across China in the second-half of 2014.
JYP Pictures President Pyo Jong Rok stated, "Through the collaboration with China's top art company entertainment group, the films that we produce will never fail to have new shapes and forms... We anticipate the synergy effect of the cultural exchange of both companies and countries... We hope that this is a starting point for strategic involvement in various business not only in films but also in management, concert production, and more."
