G-Dragon's second album 'Coup D'etat' had an impressive 300,000 pre-ordered copies in Korea.
His agency is expecting him to set new records for a male solo artist with this latest release due to his wide popularity in both South Korea and abroad. Although he already unleashed his album in the digital form, his physical album is slated to be released on September 13.
The album is receiving a lot of attention and his songs feature many popular artists, such as Missy Elliot and Diplo, the tracks have been sweeping the real-time, daily, and weekly charts.

This is a very impressive feat to have pre-orders of 300,000 when many other artists consider it a success to reach 100,000 sales.
From November of this year to January of 2014, G-Dragon will be touring Japan's domes with Big Bang.
