'Voice Korea 2' previously unveiled a preview last week that hinted at a singer Navi/Nabi (same spelling in Korean) re-appearing to the public as a contestant on the show. Due to the mosaic effect that blurred out her face, it was unclear which Nabi/Navi the singer was.
The Navi in question turned out to be not the ballad soloist, but Nabi with the real name Nah Ah Ram, who was previously a member of the group Holladang with Big Joe and later re-debuted as a member of Six Bomb in 2011.
There is a total of 3 Navi/Nabi's in the Korean music scene, but Nah Ah Ram refused to change her stage name despite being confused for the others.
"I made my debut in 2008 and released three albums. There is something I must protect, so I came on stage today. I am singer Nabi," she stated as she appeared on 'Voice Korea 2'.
Nabi continued, "It is my name so why would I change it? People say 'Navi, I am watching you well on 'Immortal Song 2' - referring to the other Navi. Because those people don't know me, my pride gets hurt. I came out here to reclaim my name and let people know about me, a different Nabi. I think the place to do that is here and I thought it was a good opportunity so I am appearing [as a contestant]."
Before she introduced herself, Nabi sang her heart out to 40's "Looking At Me Without Words", impressing the coaches and leading Shin Seung Hoon to turn his chair around for her to bring her onto his team.
