On the 4th, Korea Food for the Hungry International revealed that F.T. Island's fan club, Primadonna, gave a donation of books and a computer to the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire in West Africa.
Africa's Ivory Coast has been in the midst of a civil war since 2010, and the Korea Food for the Hungry International was forced to move its headquarters to an elementary school near the nation's largest city, Abidjan, in early 2012.
In order to help the school, F.T. Island and their fans have sent over 120 books as well as a computer since this past August.
Husband-and-wife team Park Kwang Woo and Go Hye Young, who run the center, commented, "Many children who have lost their homes to war have found comfort [by reading these] books. Thanks to the donations, we've been able to start a library." The children have sent a thank you card as well as photos to F.T. Island to show their gratitude.
F.T. Island stated, "We are the ones who are more grateful after receiving the thank you letter and photos from Africa."
It's also been reported that around 600 children will have access to the library.
