SBS has revealed that they will be donating all profits made from the song releases of their '2012 SBS Gayo Daejun' idol project groups to charity.
A representative of the awards ceremony revealed, "Profits made from the collaboration projects that the idol groups will be performing at the Gayo Daejun will be donated entirely to charity."
As previously announced, the Gayo Daejun will be done under the theme of 'The Color of K-Pop' this year featuring four project teams representing the colors dynamic black, dramatic blue, dazzling red, and mystic white. The teams have paired up with producers Shinsadong Tiger, Sweetune, Brave Brothers, and Kim Do Hoon to perform new songs produced just for the ceremony.
The representative continued, "The new song stages will be a special present to all fans both in Korea and overseas that have shown love for K-Pop. We believe it is only right for the profits to be used in helping the less fortunate. We believe that this will make the stages all the more meaningful."
The '2012 SBS Gayo Daejun' will air live on December 29th.
