Actor Lee Jong Suk's role in KBS's new drama 'School (2013)' will focus on the reality of the Korean educational system and the toll it's taken on its student.
His character, 'Go Soon Nam', is described to be a quiet, emotionless young man with no ambitions and simple dreams. He always has a blank expression on his face that brings out the curiosity of those around him hoping to grab a glance into his thoughts. He actually has a complicated life, because although he's a student by day, he works different part-time jobs at night to make ends meet. His character aims to show viewers that school and studying aren't the only concerns to teens his age.
Lee Jong Suk perfectly reflects the characteristics of his role in the new still cuts released, as it takes just a glance to see apparent fatigue on his face during school hours.
Producers commented, "We are aiming to draw a realistic vision of what school is actually like through our characters. We hope that viewers will be able to connect to the character of 'Go Soon Nam', who attends school merely to keep his name on the roster due to other circumstances. Please also look forward to Lee Jong Suk's acting growth."
'School 2013' begins airing on December 3rd.
