The February 1st episode of "Strong Heart" spotlighted Jo Kwon's tears as he revealed his trials as a trainee under JYP. After viewing an audition clip of himself as a 13 year old, Jo Kwon said, "Even though I beat the competition and became a trainee, it was difficult because debuting didn't guarantee success in this career." After revealing his disqualification from the initial 2AM roster as his most tender moment, he stated, "I fell into a slump after 7 years of training. I pondered whether I chose the correct path, and it didn't seem the like the right thing to do to my parents." He continued, "It was excruciating and I felt like dying. When I ended up telling my mom that I couldn't do it anymore, she replied, 'The buses are still there so come home. But if you feel like you are going to regret it, you don't have to come back. I'll always be here'", tearing up as he told his story. Jo Kwon's tears flowed as he recalled his parents living in a one room basement. "My family had to move but it was impossible with the 200,000 won (around $200) I received after debut, so I asked my manager to sign me up for as many variety programs and concerts." Jo Kwon's story won the heart of the audience as his hard work finally paid off when he bought a new home for his parents. Check out a few of the more lighter segments from the episode below.
