Last week on Mnet's 'Superstar K Season 2', the top 11 contestants were narrowed down to the top 8. This week, there was yet another elimination round in which the finalists were narrowed down even further to the top 6 contestants.
The challenge this week was to remake a song by the legendary Lee Moon Sae. Lee Moon Sae personally helped each of the contestants as they prepared for their performances. He also made an appearance on the live show to join Lee Seung Chul, Yoon Jong Shin, and Uhm Jung Hwa in judging this week's episode.
On yesterday's show, Huh Gak received the highest judges score with a total of 386 points for his performance of "Early Morning Discount". Therefore, he was "Super Saved", making him exempt from being eliminated.
In the end, Miami native Andrew Nelson and young ballad vocalist Park Bo Ram were eliminated from the competition. This episode verified the power of the viewer votes. Park Bo Ram had a higher judges score than both Kang Seung Yoon and Kim Eun Bi. However, the viewer votes, which count for 60% of the final score, saved rocker Kang Seung Yoon from being eliminated.
The remaining 6 contestants (in order of current online vote popularity) are Jang Jae In, John Park, Huh Gak, Kim Ji Soo, Kim Eun Bi, and Kang Seung Yoon.
