Forget the latest color trends and style forecasts - it looks like kpop idols are 2010's hottest fashion trends! Okay, that's an exaggeration. But even if you aren't seeing your favorite kpop idols' faces plastered on everyone's clothes, it looks like two designers have been inspired by Big Bang's Taeyang and 2NE1's Park Bom - so inspired that they incorporated the two idols onto actual articles of clothing. Recently, Kim Jae Hyun, a notable designer of Jardin de Chouette (Garden of Owl / Garden Owl in English) unveiled her fall/winter 2010 collection at the annual Spring Seoul Fashion Week on March 28. As one of Korea's most famous designers, Kim already had many fashionistas' eyes on her; however, lots of VIPs also took a look at her collection as well. During the show, a particular shirt worn by one of the models strutting down the runway has caught many fans' attention: It's been reported that the owl & black signature above, which were both featured on various pieces in the collection, was inspired by none other than Taeyang. Here's Kim Jae Hyun herself at the end of the show, wearing yet another piece with the owl: And here's a photo of the designer and her muse together: As for Park Bom, the 2NE1 singer was recently featured on a tee on the French online shopping website Promod. As there's no mention of Park Bom, it isn't clear whether the designer of this shirt is actually aware of the identity of the Asian girl on the shirt... for all we know, (s)he could've found the picture off of Google Images or something. Either way, you can purchase the shirt at Promod for 50% off for 9,95€ ($13.28 USD). Thanks to babylicious, jo & everyone else who sent in a tip on these topics!
