It was reported that after breaking off contact with his management agency, Jambo Entertainment for more than a month, actor Kang Ji Hwan has submitted a request on the 30th, requesting to void his contract with them. In the period where he had broken off contact with his agency, Kang Ji Hwan had been active in seeking out various contacts, informing them that he had shifted to a new agency and asked them to contact his new agency if they had work to offer him. Kang Ji Hwan was apparently peeved with Jambo Entertainment for failing to secure good work opportunities for him and thus decided to leave for another agency. Many in the industry has poured scorn on his move as they felt that Kang Ji Hwan was turning his back on his agency who had helped him to become an A-lister through movies like Rough Cut and My Girlfriend Is An Agent. With his contract with Jambo Entertainment due to end only in August 2010, they felt that it was inappropriate for Kang Ji Hwan to be doing this behind his agency's back. With regards to this, Jambo Entertainment expressed, "We are still in discussions over this and we do not have a definite solution yet."
