For those who didn't know, KARA used to be a four-girl group with Kim Sung Hee, Park Gyu Ri, Han Seung Yeon, and Nicole Jung. But because Kim Sung Hee failed her college entrance exams, she decided to leave the group in February 2008 upon breaking her promise with her parents to do well in her studies while in the group. Following that, two new members, Goo Hara and Kang Ji Young, were added to the group to make it the five-member group it is now. It seems like Kim Sung Hee left at the wrong time, for the group skyrocketed after her leave. In my opinion, the group lost a really strong voice, but at the same time, who cares? KARA seems to be doing fine without her. Needless to say, the current members have come a long way and are enjoying the fame they have achieved since then. Contrary to KARA being a nobody in the past, their old song from 2007, "If U Wanna", was actually my Cyworld Minihompy BGM in the summer of 2007. I had no idea who they were then, nor did I care, but I thought the song was prettygirl catchy. You can see the ex-member in the music video below: video credit: karamedia Here's her singing around late December 2008 (thanks to .gov for the tip!): video credit: Craziej90 An older video when she was still part of the group: video credit: pnaichi Kim Sung Hee also sang the OST for the SBS drama Three-Leaf Clover in 2005, when she was only in 9th grade at the time: video credit: ikamilia
