Choi Sung Hyun's switch of career from being an announcer to an actress plus her stunning transformation has become a hot topic among fans lately. Seeing the pictures from her latest movie Insadong Scandal which also stars Kim Rae Won and Uhm Jung Hwa, Choi Sung Hyun departs from her usual elegant and demure image, showing off her wild, sexy, tough girl character, with her long flowing hair, leather jacket and smoking a cigarette. Choi Sung Hyun expressed, "It's really difficult to live with 2 different faces, 1 in reality and the other while filming. So I would like to announce to everyone 'I'm now Gong Soo Jung (her movie character), I grew up as an orphan and thus I am sometimes a bit violent. Please understand and do not try to look for the original me", showing her determination to do well in her acting role and hopes that viewers can immerse themselves into the movie. Choi Sung Hyun had only worked for 2 years in KBS before quitting suddenly at the peak of her announcer career to become an full-time actress, with most remembering her hosting KBS2TV Sang Sang Plus. She made her acting debut with a small role in SBS Gourmet last year with the movie Insadong Scandal marking her full-fledged debut. She will pit herself against Lee Kang Joon played by Kim Rae Won with the latter being an expert in restoring artworks and is trying to solve the mystery behind a famous painting called Byuk-An.
