30 real life girl group members will be competing in South Korea's first ever virtual girl group survival project, 'GIRLS RE:VERSE'.
The upcoming Kakao TV program features 30 real life contestants who have been transformed into virtual characters through the use of VR technology. The high quality VR technology not only captures the contestants' physical movements and projects them onto the virtual characters, but it also allows the contestants to control the characters' facial expressions, virtual settings, etc.
Viewers will have to cast their votes for their favorite contestants based only on their voices and mannerisms, as the contestants and their respective characters will be competing for a chance to debut in the first ever virtual K-Pop girl group. Only 5 contestants will make it into the debut team lineup.
'GIRLS RE:VERSE' is scheduled to premiere on November 28 via Kakao TV and YouTube. Will you be watching this interesting new survival program?
