A 3rd generation K-Pop group leader impressed viewers on the June 19 broadcast of MBC's 'King of Masked Singer'!
On this episode of the singing competition program, the masked contestant 'Super Baby' went up against 'Fighting Rooster' for the second round. 'Super Baby' chose to sing (G)I-DLE's "TOMBOY" with a unique, hip-hop flare, garnering attention for his baritone voice and stylish rap.
[SPOILERS AHEAD]
In the end, 'Fighting Rooster' claimed the victory over 'Super Baby' with 87 votes. Afterward, the identity of 'Super Baby' was revealed!
The man behind the unique, baritone voice and the groovy rap style was none other than former B.A.P member, Bang Yong Guk!
On this day, Bang Yong Guk revealed, "I think this is the first time in about 4 years that I've come to a schedule at the broadcasting station. After wrapping up my group activities, I am now making music as a solo artist, but because I am working on music more liberally, I've grown a little more distant with TV broadcasts."
He then continued, "Because I rarely come out on TV anymore, my grandmother seems to think that I am not doing very well."
Finally, Bang Yong Guk sent out a sweet message to his grandmother, saying, "I think that my grandmother will probably watch this around dinner time. Grandma, I'm doing just fine, so don't worry about me."
