An official competitor at the upcoming '2022 Cannes Film Festival', director Park Chan Wook's returning project 'Decision To Leave' has revealed a confounding special trailer.
'Decision To Leave' marks director Park Chan Wook's fourth career entry in the competition category at 'Cannes', following 'Old Boy' (Grand Prix, 2004), 'Thirst' (Jury Prize, 2009), and 'The Handmaiden' (2016). It's also Park Chan Wook's first new Korean film project in 6 years, and cinema fans' expectations are high for the director's latest vision.
The film tells the story of a detective named Hae Joon (played by Park Hae Il), who is assigned to a murder case in the middle of a mountain. While investigating the case, Hae Joon gets to know the murder victim's wife Seo Rae (played by Tang Wei), and experiences various feelings.
Watch the special trailer above for your firsthand glimpse of 'Decision To Leave'! The film is expected to premiere in theaters across South Korea on June 29.
