On April 2, NCT Dream members Mark, Haechan, and Jeno appeared as guests on the Studio Waffle web series, 'TurKids on the Block'!
On this day, while introducing themselves to viewers, the NCT Dream members found out for the first(?) time that 'TurKids on the Block' MC Lee Yong Jin was actually a part of SM C&C, and thus labelmates. The members also could not stop laughing at all of the jokes and comments made by the MC!
After introductions, 'TurKids' MC Lee Yong Jin interviewed NCT Dream with questions he personally found curious. He asked, "Have you made a lot of money yet?" To this, Haechan responded, "We have not made very much yet." Mark also pondered, "Is there even a standard for this question?"
Lee Yong Jin answered Mark by giving an example, as he said, "If I were an idol, I might want to go around Seoul riding a nice European sports car, wearing a fancy European watch on my wrist. Where would you say you spend your earnings?"
Jeno said, "I am saving up most of it. I would like to be able to buy a house in the future." Haechan replied, "I am also saving up, but from time to time I also treat myself to electronics and equipment."
Hearing this, Lee Yong Jin observed, "You are very good at answering questions that can be difficult or touchy." Haechan nodded, saying, "These types of questions are more fun."
This prompted Lee Yong Jin to lean forward, asking, "So you are prepared to give an answer to whatever kind of question I ask, no matter how sensitive the topic?"
When the NCT Dream members nodded, Lee Yong Jin suddenly said, "There is word going around that SM Entertainment is being acquired by Kakao or CJ. Do you have any idea what is happening with that?"
NCT Dream burst into laughter and remarked, "We have no idea. We are curious as well." Lee Yong Jin added on, "As company co-workers, let's have an honest heart to heart about this."
Jeno then shared, "We were also curious about this, and so we asked some of the higher officials that we know. But they also did not know what was going on."
Lee soo man is quite crucial for sm idols success, that man have vision and he ties all of it together to eventually make a group with the image that he had in mind. Not everyone have something like that.
i like kakao but i do think they're more corporate and straightforward. That comes down to everyone preference but i do think that their idols is more stiff and manufactured compares to the approach that sm usually takes.
