K.Will and Gummy will take the stage in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), for a special K-culture event celebrating the opening of a new Korean promotional center.
On February 19 (KST), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) announced that it will co-host the Korea Season in Korea 360 event from February 21 to 22 (GST) at Festival City Mall in Dubai alongside the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE) and the Korean Cultural Center in UAE.
This event precedes the grand opening of UAE Korea 360, a cultural hub dedicated to promoting Korean content and industries in the Middle East, set to launch on February 28. The performances will feature K.Will and Gummy singing theme songs from popular Korean dramas aired in the UAE, including Descendants of the Sun, along with a Fusion Gugak performance by Queen, a group blending traditional Korean instruments with Western percussion.
The newly established UAE Korea 360 is a joint effort led by MCST, in collaboration with six other government ministries. It aims to serve as a strategic hub for expanding K-content and related industries into the Middle Eastern market.
Kim Hyun Joon, director of international cultural policy at MCST, stated, “UAE Korea 360, along with Indonesia Korea 360, which opened in 2022, will serve as a key platform for Korean businesses looking to enter the Middle Eastern and Asian markets.”
