On the 20th, a press screening for the movie Dark Nuns took place at Megabox Coex in Gangnam, Seoul. The event was attended by director Kwon Hyuk Jae, and actors Song Hye Kyo, Jeon Yeo Bin, Lee Jin Wook, and Moon Woo Jin.
Dark Nuns tells the story of people who perform a forbidden ritual to save a boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit.
In the film, Song Hye Kyo plays the role of Sister Unia, a nun who will go to any lengths, including using forbidden methods, to save a boy in danger.
At the press conference, Song Hye Kyo said, "I'm so nervous. It's a film that I worked really hard on, so I hope it gets a good response."
She continued, "This is the first time I've done smoking acting. I had a lot of concerns. Since I'm a non-smoker, I was unsure about how to do it, but when I thought about the character of Sister Unia, I realized it was an essential part of the role."
Song Hye Kyo revealed, "So, it’s not a good thing, but about six months before filming started, I began practicing smoking. The first scene starts with smoking, and it’s a big close-up, so I didn’t want to fake it. During the filming, I practiced a lot not just for acting but also for smoking."
