It has been confirmed that F.T. Island member Choi Min Hwan admitted during a police investigation that he had "frequently visited adult entertainment establishments."

According to a police investigation report obtained by media outlet Sports Kyeonghyang on December 20, Choi Min Hwan was cleared of charges on November 29 due to insufficient evidence regarding violations of the Act on the Punishment of Acts of Arranging Sexual Traffic.

Choi Min Hwan was accused of contacting Person 'A,' an employee of an adult entertainment establishment located on Nonhyeon-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at 5 AM on July 9, 2022. He allegedly inquired about a prostitution business and was accused of paying an unidentified woman for sexual services.

During the investigation, the police found that Choi Min Hwan and Person 'A' used terms like "TC," "Agassi" (a term often referring to a young woman or hostess), and "Judae" (a term related to table charges) in their phone conversations. Considering the operating practices of certain establishments, the police concluded that Choi Min Hwan had contacted Person 'A' to inquire about visiting an adult entertainment establishment.

During his statement, Choi Min Hwan admitted, "I have contacted Person 'A' and have gone to adult entertainment establishments on occasion, but I have never engaged in prostitution and I do not even remember if I actually visited the mentioned establishment."

Person 'A' also testified, "The conversation was about going to an adult entertainment establishment, not a prostitution business."

Based on this, the police concluded that the phone recordings alone were insufficient to prove the charge of prostitution. They noted that there was no other evidence to refute the testimonies of Choi Min Hwan and Person 'A.' Additionally, they interpreted the content of the recorded conversations as referring to an inquiry about an adult entertainment establishment, not a prostitution business.

Many K-netizens were shocked and expressed disgust toward Choi Min Hwan as he continued to maintain the stance that he had not gone to adult entertainment establishments.
