Amid the nationwide mourning following the Jeju Air crash, actress Jeon Jong Seo shared glimpses of her daily life on social media, sparking debate among netizens.

On December 30th, Jeon Jong Seo posted some photos on her Instagram with the caption, "Still shooting today…" One of the selfies shows her wearing a white sleeveless tank top paired with a bolero, posing with her hand on her cheek while sitting in a car, appearing somewhat tired.

She also included a cryptic image with the text: "I know you’re tired of what you love, and of having no one to love. If something real grabs you, you’ll drown—you’ll fall in love." This enigmatic message further piqued curiosity.

Jeon Jong Seo’s upload has drawn criticism from some netizens, as South Korea is currently observing a national mourning period from December 30th to January 4th. This follows the December 29th Jeju Air crash, in which flight 7C2216 from Bangkok to Muan International Airport crashed into the runway’s outer wall during landing, causing a fire and killing 179 of the 181 passengers onboard.

In light of the tragedy, major broadcasters canceled year-end award shows and postponed entertainment programs. Many celebrities and public figures have been sharing posts expressing condolences and mourning the victims.

Some netizens expressed disappointment in Jeon Jong Seo’s decision to post personal updates instead of participating in the collective mourning. Comments included:

“A tragedy has occurred in Korea. At the very least, you could have shown condolences.”

“During a national mourning period, when everyone is grieving, perhaps it would have been better to refrain from such posts.”
