TWICE postpones promotional schedule due to actor Song Jae Rim’s passing.
TWICE has delayed a part of their promotional schedule for their upcoming album in respect of actor Song Jae Rim’s passing. On November 13th KST, TWICE posted on their official Instagram, “Due to recent unfortunate news, the release of Concept photo #1, originally scheduled for November 13th at 12 AM KST(November 12th at 10AM ET), has been postponed and will now be uploaded on November 14th at 12 AM KST(November 13th at 10AM ET). Thank you, ONCE, for your understanding.”
As a result, the first concept photo release for TWICE’s 14th mini-album has been postponed. Initially, the first photo was set for November 13th, with the second photo planned for November 14th, following a sequential release schedule.
TWICE confirmed that other promotional schedules will proceed as planned. They will release the album trailer on November 17th, an album preview on the 20th, a tracklist poster on the 23rd, an album sneak peek on the 30th, and two teasers for the title track’s music video on December 2nd and 3rd. Their 14th mini-album, ‘STRATEGY’, will be officially released on December 6th KST.
According to police, Song Jae Rim was found deceased at his home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on November 12th at 12:30 PM. A friend, who had arranged to meet him for lunch, found him and called the police. Authorities indicated, “No criminal activity has been suspected so far, and the presence of a letter suggests he may have taken his own life.”
Song Jae Rim’s wake has been set up at Yeouido St. Mary’s Hospital, with the funeral planned for November 14th at noon.
