IU shares her thoughts after wrapping up her concert tour.
On November 26th KST, IU’s official channel ‘이지금’ uploaded a video titled “Shall We Bloom the Final Finale Together?” The video offers behind-the-scenes glimpses of IU’s finale concert for her 2024 world tour, held in September at Seoul World Cup Stadium.
The finale marked both the conclusion of her tour, which began in March, and her 100th concert. Reflecting on her preparation for the day, IU shared, “I slept with a mask on, taped my lips with two pieces of tape, and set the humidifier to 90%, creating a jungle-like environment. That’s how I managed to have an exceptionally good condition today.”
After successfully completing the concert, IU posed for a commemorative photo with her staff and expressed her relief, saying, “I can’t feel my legs, and my throat is completely shot, but it doesn’t matter. The tour is over now.”
IU expressed her joy by saying, “I can finally drink cola now. I don’t have to sleep with a mask or keep the humidifier on anymore. I thought I was going to suffocate!” She added, “Every time we had a company dinner, I’d think, ‘If I could just have one glass of cola, I’d have no other wishes,’ but I really held back.”
Grateful for the successful completion of her tour, IU said, “I’m relieved no one got hurt, and I’m so thankful to each and every staff member who worked hard.”
She also shared the significance of a gift she prepared for fans: telescopes. IU explained, “The focus is up to you to adjust. Whether it’s a small victory or a personal triumph, I hope you savor those moments. For me, this tour was a huge victory in my life. Although it may seem small to others, it was monumental for me. I’ll live humbly and kindly. The fact that it didn’t rain for two days is something I’m deeply grateful for. I thank the weather gods and everyone. May you live discovering new things every day.”
