BTS’s Jimin’s military service update gains attention
An update on BTS member Jimin, who is currently serving in the military, has been drawing attention. On October 7th KST, a photo of Jimin during his military service was shared on an online community. In the picture, Jimin is seen smiling brightly while posing with his fellow soldiers. Jimin, who enlisted in June, was selected as an elite soldier and has already completed early promotion. He has also received the Division Commander’s Award for best trainee, showcasing his dedication to his military duties.
Jimin recently sent a message to BTS’s fanbase, ARMY, saying, “It’s been a little over a month, and while sometimes it feels long, having Jungkook by my side makes time pass quickly. We stay in touch with the other members through public phones, and Jungkook is also working hard in the military. We rely on each other and give each other strength.”
Jimin and Jungkook enlisted together in December 2023 and are currently serving in the artillery brigade under the 5th Infantry Division. Their scheduled discharge date is June 11, 2025. As several BTS members are currently fulfilling their military duties, the group is expected to resume team activities after all members have completed their service.
