Gong Yoo and Chae Jung An reminisce about ‘Coffee Prince’ filming days.
On October 14th KST, actor Gong Yoo appeared as a guest on Chae Jung An’s YouTube channel ‘Chae Jung An TV’, where the two recalled their time filming the hit drama ‘Coffee Prince’. The video served as a teaser for the full episode, which will be released on October 17th KST.
During their conversation, Gong Yoo joked, “If Han Yoo Joo (Chae Jung An’s character) and Choi Han Gyul (Gong Yoo’s character) ended up together, I think they would have lived happily,” referring to their characters from the drama. In ‘Coffee Prince’, Chae Jung An played Gong Yoo’s first love, captivating many with her beauty and elegance.
Gong Yoo added, “I feel like Han Yoo Joo and Choi Han Gyul wouldn’t have clashed much in real life, so they would have done well together.” He continued, “You were really beautiful back then. It was your prime, and everyone talked about it. Acting with you was easy because you really felt like a first love, you were so beautiful.”
The two then watched scenes from ‘Coffee Prince’ together, reminiscing about their on-screen chemistry. Chae Jung An humorously commented on her line “Should I sing for you?” in the drama, playfully calling it “flirting.”
‘Coffee Prince’ is a beloved MBC drama about a young woman pretending to be a man and a man pretending to be gay to avoid an arranged marriage, as they navigate their growing feelings while working at Coffee Prince. The drama starred Yoon Eun Hye, the late Lee Sun Gyun, Kim Chang Wan, and Kim Dong Wook, among others.
