A BIG PLANET MADE Entertainment manager has reportedly leaked the contact info of SHINee's Taemin, Lee Seung Gi, VIVIZ, and more as loan collateral.
On October 16, One Hundred, the parent company of BIG PLANET MADE Entertainment, issued a statement regarding the matter. A rep from One Hundred explained, "A manager affiliated with Big Planet, Mr. A, took out small loans from over 40 illegal moneylending companies using the contact numbers stored on his mobile phone as collateral. When he failed to repay these loans, the illegal lenders contacted the phone numbers used as collateral and began threatening him."
The company further explained loan sharks from the illegal moneylending companies began threatening Mr. A's contacts into resolving the financial issues on Mr. A's behalf. Mr. A is said to have handed over around 1,200 phone numbers to the lenders, including the contact information of affiliated artists, staff members, and former workplace contacts. Currently, BIG PLANET MADE Entertainment's roster includes Taemin, Lee Seung Gi, Lee Moo Jin, Huh Gak, Lee Soo Geun, Bi-o, VIVIZ, and Bad Villain.
One Hundred stated, "The illegal moneylenders are leaving threatening phone calls and messages to Big Planet employees. We take this situation very seriously and are preparing legal action along with a police report against the illegal lenders who have continued to call with threats. We sincerely apologize for the emergence of innocent victims due to the mistakes of an employee who worked with us," adding "Once again, we extend our sincere apologies to those whose personal information was leaked due to the actions of an employee, and we will do our utmost to resolve this situation."
