MAMAMOO's Hwa Sa confessed to experiencing burnout during a drinking interview with Kian84.
On September 16, a video featuring Hwa Sa as a guest on Kian84's 'Soolterview (Drinking Interview)' was uploaded to Kian84's channel.
Hwa Sa has shown her multifaceted talent on programs like 'I Live Alone' and 'Dancing Queens on the Road' and has received much love for her cool personality on such variety shows. However, she confessed to the stress she feels being on these variety programs. She shared her thoughts, "I don't know if I'm really suited for variety shows. I can only have fun if I'm around people I'm comfortable with."
In response, Kian84 playfully asked, "So, does that mean the recent shows you were on were uncomfortable?" Hwa Sa clarified, "No, it's just because the environment was unfamiliar."
Despite her popularity in variety shows, Hwa Sa emphasized her commitment to her career as a singer. She explained, "The reason I pursued this dream is because I thought, 'I'm good at singing, so I have to be a singer.' That mindset naturally developed over time. Ever since I was young, I only focused on the path of being a singer. I wanted to be good at it, so I worked hard, taking on challenges, and I've been living the same way ever since."
She continued, "I've been burning myself out, and now I’m starting to feel a bit tired. Sometimes I feel like I can’t work with a clear mind. I'm constantly suffering from insomnia because I can't sleep. I want to give my all so that I won't have any regrets about this job, and eventually, I hope to feel like I've done enough. It's a bit abstract, but I want to reach a point where I think, 'This is enough.' Though I'm not sure if I'll be able to stop when I get there."
In response, Kian84 joked, "You're going to keep making music, right? So you'll need a concept. I want to suggest one. There's already so much innocence, girlish charm, and sexiness in girl groups. Art has to be fresh." He then humorously proposed the idea of a "Super Demon" concept, making Hwa Sa laugh.
