EXO member Baekhyun has come under criticism after being spotted smoking indoors.

On September 16, a video of Baekhyun smoking indoors, presumably at a restaurant, began circulating on the social media platform X. In the video, Baekhyun is seated in a corner, chatting with others while smoking a cigarette. The footage captures him inhaling and exhaling smoke. The people sitting with him appear to be male and female staff members.

The exact time and location of the video have not been confirmed. The person who shared the video added the caption, "EXO's Byun Baekhyun caught smoking indoors." 

Following the video and controversy, Baekhyun has issued an apology through his agency and stated, "We sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable due to our artist Baekhyun's indoor smoking incident, which is currently circulating online."

Korean netizens expressed disappointment in various online communities and commented:

"After reading Baekhyun's explanation, it felt even more disappointing because it seemed like just part of his everyday life."
