After 12 years, actor Jo In Sung is leaving his agency, marking the end of his business relationship with Go Hyun Jung. 

Jo joined IOK Company, founded by Go Hyun Jung and her brother, back in 2012, and now, 12 years later, their professional paths are diverging.

A close source to Jo In Sung stated on September 23rd, "In Sung’s exclusive contract with the company expires in the fourth quarter of this year, and both sides have agreed not to renew it." The source continued, "Jo In Sung and Go Hyun Jung agreed to work together for 'just 10 years,' which they fulfilled, and now they’ve decided to support each other while walking separate paths."

While there has been no official word on Go Hyun Jung's plans, it’s speculated that she may stay with the company since her brother, Go Byung Cheol, holds a key position in a subsidiary of Ssangbangwool, a connection that suggests her potential to remain.

Despite the 10-year age difference, rumors between Jo and Go have persisted since their meeting during Go’s comeback drama 'Spring Day' on SBS in 2005, following her divorce. Go Hyun Jung addressed these rumors in January when she appeared on the YouTube show 'Fairy Jae Hyung', where she clarified her relationship with Jo In Sung.

In 2012, Jo In Sung appeared as a guest with Chun Jung Myung on the first episode of Go Hyun Jung’s SBS talk show 'Go Show'. 

During the episode, Jo famously said, "Honestly, noona isn’t my type," which seemed to quell the rumors at the time. However, the rumors resurfaced three years later when the two were spotted returning together at the airport, reigniting speculation.

Perhaps Go Hyun Jung felt the need to clarify the situation, especially with her children watching from afar. 
In January, she firmly denied the rumors, saying, "That airport photo was taken with Song Joong Ki and Lee Min Ho by our side, but only the two of us were captured. In Sung is a really manly and good friend, but he’s not my type. He has standards too," humorously drawing a clear line between them.

One of Go Hyun Jung’s acquaintances commented, "She may appear cool, but deep down, she’s very sensitive. These rumors were difficult for her, and from about 4–5 years ago, she started to limit her private interactions with Jo In Sung. 

They stopped sending each other coffee trucks, attending VIP screenings, and even unfollowed each other on social media," they revealed. Their last known exchange of coffee trucks occurred during Go Hyun Jung's 2019 SBS drama 'Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul Ho 2'.

Meanwhile, Jo In Sung recently appeared on the YouTube show 'Cheerful Brother Shin Dong Yeob' earlier this month. 

During the show, he candidly discussed his single status at 43, saying, "I’ve reached the age to marry, but I don’t know if I’m not doing it or can’t do it. My mother even told me to ‘bring home a child from somewhere.’" He added, "When you take fame out of the equation, I wonder if younger women would actually like me or if I’m still competitive. The more information you have, the more disadvantageous marriage seems," reflecting on life past the prime marrying age.
