ILLIT celebrates Chuseok with fun content for fans, GLLIT.
The group ILLIT (Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha) treated their fans, GLLIT, to a heartwarming Chuseok celebration with their self-produced content titled “Lucky Chuseok Syndrome” on their official YouTube channel and global fan platform Weverse on September 16th KST.
The members kicked things off by attempting to make traditional songpyeon (rice cakes). Determined to improve on last year’s Chuseok content, the members created uniquely shaped and colorful songpyeon in the form of hearts, stars, and turtles.
With Chuseok being a holiday for spending time with loved ones, ILLIT immediately thought of their fans. Moka expressed her wish, “I want to hold a fan meeting,” while Wonhee added, “I feel like I communicate with our fans even more than with family or friends,” showing her love for GLLIT.
Next, the members engaged in a 'Hunminjeongeum yutnori' game, in which they could only speak in Korean during the match. The teams were divided into Yunah and Minju as "Uratchacha" and Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha as "Eolssigu." The game was full of excitement, with both teams being competitive. Despite the rule, the members often slipped into English, using phrases like “Okay” and “Nice”, which caused them to loop back to the starting point, filling the game with laughter.
Thanks to Minju’s excellent yut throws, the “Uratchacha” team claimed victory. Yunah and Minju celebrated by enthusiastically using all the English catchphrases they had refrained from during the game, adding to the fun. They shared the songpyeon with their fellow members, showcasing their strong team chemistry.
Iroha reflected, “This is our second time making songpyeon together, and we’ve improved. I’m looking forward to next year,” sharing her thoughts. The members wrapped up the session with a genuine holiday atmosphere, leaning on each other and laughing together. Yunah even playfully recreated snoring sounds, showing off her variety show skills and leaving fans with one last burst of laughter.
