HYBE's Bang Si Hyuk celebrates J.Y. Park's 30th Anniversary, Calling Him a 'Brother'
HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk personally showed his support for JYP Entertainment’s J.Y. Park as he marked his 30th anniversary. Bang expressed his affection by saying, "We are like brothers."
On September 16th, during KBS's special Chuseok broadcast of 'Ddan Ddara JYP', Bang Si Hyuk made an appearance to deliver a congratulatory message.
Bang Si Hyuk, originally from the 'Park Jin Young division', once worked closely with J.Y. Park at JYP Entertainment before founding BigHit Entertainment, now known as HYBE.
Through a video message, Bang surprised Park, saying, "You asked me to surprise you by joining your 30th-anniversary stage, but that might be difficult. You've always wanted to perform, and I hope you continue to burn bright on your dream stages and step down feeling happy."
He continued, "Many younger artists won’t understand until they reach that point. After going independent, I realized that while I thought we were working together on business, I was actually helping him with his. It made me realize how extraordinary J.Y. Park is, someone who did things for me that not just anyone could."
Bang Si Hyuk added, "There’s no need to define our relationship. We’re just brothers, and there’s no lie or shame in saying that."
He further encouraged Park, saying, "You still have a lot of hits left in you, and if anyone has the stamina, it’s you. I’m not worried. I hope we can meet again like this for your 40th anniversary."
J.Y. Park, surprised by the message, responded, "I was really shocked. See you soon. Bang Si Hyuk isn’t the type to do this, so it means a lot. Thank you."
