BTOB member and musical actor Changsub treated fans to an exclusive preview of his first full-length solo album during a surprise listening party.
On August 26, Changsub held a special event titled ‘OPEN STAGE’ at the Live Plaza in Starfield COEX Mall, Gangnam, Seoul. During this event, he performed live versions of three pre-release tracks from his upcoming solo album ‘1991,’ set to be released on September 2.
The songs ‘Hope Torture,’ ’#RUN,’ and ‘STAY’ were performed live for the first time, leaving fans in awe. Changsub’s powerful and emotional vocals filled the venue with sentiment, captivating the audience. He also delighted fans by performing ‘Heaven’s Resentment,’ a song that received overwhelming love after its release in February, drawing enthusiastic cheers from the crowd.
Changsub’s first full-length album ‘1991’ is named after the year he was born, which also represents the mirrored numbers. The album is expected to showcase his unique musical style and convey a deep personal message. With the pre-release tracks already creating a buzz through this busking event, anticipation is high for the diverse range of tracks that will feature on the album.
This year, Changsub has been active across various fields, including music, musicals, and variety shows. He released ‘Yes, As Always’—a song he wrote himself—and a remake of ‘Heaven’s Resentment.’ He has also been a consistent MC for four seasons of the web variety show ‘The Criminal Record,’ and he is set to appear as a vocal director on the SBS global audition program ‘Universe League,’ which premieres in November.
The pre-release single from Changsub’s solo album ‘1991’ will be available on various online music platforms on September 2 at 6 PM KST.
