There is a debate among Korean and international fans after (G)I-DLE released their dance video for "Klaxon."
Some pointed out that the level of exposure in the choreography video for "Klaxon," the title track of (G)I-DLE's 7th mini-album 'I SWAY,' is excessive. The group released a dance video titled "(G)I-DLE's 'Klaxon' (Jeju Island ship horn)" on their official YouTube channel. The video features the members with significant exposure, including scenes that reveal their buttocks.
In the video, the members wear white shirts over bikinis while dancing. During Jeon Soyeon's rap part, there is a bold display of her buttocks. One particular shot, taken from below, shows Soyeon lifting her long top and shaking her hips. Other members, like Yuqi and Miyeon, who are positioned behind her, also have their body parts shown.
Some who viewed the video expressed discomfort, saying, "We understand the sexy concept, but this is too much," "I miss the old (G)I-DLE," "The beach and swimsuit concept is good, but the level of exposure shocked me. Please cover them up a bit," "The song and their skills are great, but please dress them appropriately. It's too much."
However, others welcomed the video, saying, "Aren't they all adults? It's summer, so they might have tried a sexy concept version," and "It matches well with the lyrics of 'NXDE' which say 'The pervert is you.'"
The video is not age-restricted on YouTube, allowing viewers of all ages to watch it.
Korean netizens commented:
"That surprised me."
"Woah."
"That's too much."
"Why are they going this route?"
"What is this... people were talking about this and I wondered how bad it would be and it's much worse than I thought."
"It's not appealing at all."
"That did not look good."
"Why did she do that?"
"Oh man... not good."
