The ever-popular variety program “Superman is Back” has always been a fan favorite. This show features various celebrity families and their children, focusing on fathers taking care of their kids and giving mothers a well-deserved break.

Since its first broadcast in 2013, the show has garnered immense love, with many viewers becoming fans of the children. Viewers have also claimed that they learned different parenting techniques from the show. It not only showcases various child-rearing methods but often features special appearances from beloved stars. For instance, Cha Eun Woo recently looked after Kim Eun Woo, and members of aespa have also made appearances.

This raises the question: in all the years of Korean broadcasting, why have we never seen an idol version of this show? The concept has proven successful in various instances. For example, when MONSTA X visited a daycare, their appearance went viral, captivating fans who eagerly called for more interactions between idols and children. The genuine joy and care shown by the idols resonated with viewers, showcasing a different side of their personalities.

Similarly, ATEEZ had the opportunity to take care of FT Island Minhwan’s kids. The members quickly bonded with the children, creating heartwarming moments that fans cherished. These interactions highlighted the nurturing and playful sides of the idols, which are rarely seen in their typical performances and variety show appearances. The instant connection between ATEEZ and the children demonstrated the potential for a full-fledged show dedicated to such interactions.

Beomgyu
from TXT also had memorable moments with children, where his humorous interactions brought much enjoyment and laughter to viewers. His natural rapport with the kids and the genuine amusement they shared created unforgettable segments that fans adored. These instances where idols engage with children reveal their softer, more relatable sides, making them even more endearing to their audiences.

Given these examples, it is clear that there is a significant interest and potential for a variety show where idols spend time with children. Such a program could offer a refreshing and heartwarming addition to the current lineup of variety shows, providing fans with a unique look at their favorite idols in a nurturing and playful environment. The authentic, unscripted nature of interactions with children would ensure genuine moments, further enhancing the appeal of the show.

An idol version of the show, where idols spend a day at a daycare or babysitting, would offer a fresh and captivating perspective. This format could breathe new life into the variety show genre, providing audiences with a unique and heartwarming viewing experience.

The unscripted nature of children's behavior means that every episode would be filled with unexpected and delightful moments. Whether it’s an idol comforting a crying child, participating in playful activities, or navigating the challenges of caregiving, the scenarios would be both entertaining and endearing. These genuine interactions could create a strong emotional connection with viewers, making the show a standout in the crowded variety show landscape.

Moreover, such a show would appeal to a broad audience, including fans of the idols, parents, and anyone who enjoys wholesome and heartfelt content. The combination of celebrity appeal and the universal charm of children would make for a compelling program that has the potential to be both entertaining and educational.

What do you think? Would you be interested in a variety program where idols look after kids?

"Why have we never had a show like this?"

We did actually, it's called Hello Baby. Each season a music group is given a child to raise on their own. SNSD did it, SHINee did it (actually contributed to their breakthrough since it happened a year after debut), T-ara, and some others.

I recommend yall check out this show if you haven't, it's really good.
