TXT (Tomorrow X Together) concluded their North American leg of the 'TOMORROW X TOGETHER WORLD TOUR ' with great success.
The tour, which began in Tacoma on the 14th of last month (local time), included stops in Oakland on the 18th, Los Angeles on the 21st-22nd, Houston on the 26th, Atlanta on the 29th, New York on June 1st-2nd, Rosemont on the 5th-6th, and Washington D.C. on the 8th, attracting over 140,000 attendees.
Record-Breaking Performances and Milestones for a Growing K-Pop PhenomenonTXT made history by performing at two stadium venues, the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum and Houston's Minute Maid Park, both of which had never hosted a K-pop concert before.
Additionally, TXT set another K-pop record by selling out two shows at New York's Madison Square Garden, becoming the first K-pop artists to achieve this feat.
Madison Square Garden is a historic venue known for hosting legendary artists like Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, and Taylor Swift.Captivating Audiences with Diverse PerformancesTXT's live performances were marked by their energetic delivery, unique arrangements, and varied stage concepts.
They impressed North American fans with a Korean traditional music version of "Sugar Rush Ride," originally an alternative pop dance track. The band also showcased their rock influences with songs like "Growing Pain" and "PUMA," while unit performances of "The KILLA (I belong to you)" by Soobin and Yeonjun, and "Quarter Life" by Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai, highlighted contrasting styles.
The setlist included "Cat & Dog (English ver.)," which received enthusiastic responses from the audience.TXT also paid homage to local culture by singing snippets of popular songs like Sting's "Englishman in New York" and Queen's "We Will Rock You," and wearing jackets of local sports teams such as the NHL's New York Rangers and NBA's Chicago Bulls.
TXT's Promise to FansThe members expressed their gratitude, saying, "We were truly happy to see everyone dancing and singing along to our songs. We realized once again that our happiness comes from MOA (our fandom). We will work harder to become artists that MOA can be proud of. Although we don't visit the U.S. often, we promise to create unforgettable memories whenever we do."
Continuing Their World Tour in JapanAfter wrapping up the successful North American tour, TXT will continue their third world tour in Japan this July. They will perform at four major domes for the first time since their debut, starting with Tokyo Dome on July 10, followed by Kyocera Dome Osaka, Vantelin Dome Nagoya, and Fukuoka PayPay Dome.
Before heading to Japan, they will also participate in the '2024 Weverse Con Festival' at Inspire Entertainment Resort in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, on the 15th.
Honestly I rarely see Korean media outlets and even Kpop stans talk about TXT's success and TXT in general. I mostly get their updates from the big fanbase accounts and big international media outlets. I have noticed Kpop community ignoring them so many times, they don't include TXT in so many conversations even when they are one of the biggest 4th gen bg.
TXT being scandal free, chill and having friendly personalities might also be the reason the K media and kpop stans who loves controversies and gossip dont pay much attention to them. Anyways, Im very proud of TXT, selling out Madison square garden twice is an amazing feat 👏👏 I hope they take care of their health and safety for the rest of the tour.
