NewJeans has clinched a spot on the major US Billboard charts with their latest album.
According to Billboard's latest chart rankings released on June 4 KST (covering the period from the May 24-30), NewJeans secured the 7th position in the ‘Global’ category (excluding the US) with their double single title song ‘How Sweet’.
Billboard reported, '"How Sweet" garnered 42.8 million streams and over 5,000 music sales (downloads) in just one week,” further stating, “This marks NewJeans’ fifth song to enter the top 10 in the global charts.”
Their track "Bubble Gum" has also gained immense popularity, securing the 18th position on the chart. Surpassing 25 million streams and over 4,000 music sales, the song even made its mark on the charts at number 166 before its official release.
The global chart serves as a reflection of Billboard's music market trends worldwide, ranking songs based on streaming and music sales across more than 200 regions globally, making it a significant indicator of global popularity.
Back home, New Jeans continues to dominate major domestic music charts with 'How Sweet' and "Bubble Gum" consistently holding the 2nd and 3rd positions on platforms like Melon, Bugs, and Flo.
