It was previously reported that Yong Junhyung had recently taken to Instagram to post about the Jung Joon Young chatroom scandal he was involved in.
While Junhyung had posted, sharing that although he was not a part of the chatroom, he was sent illegally filmed videos and was apologetic that he didn't immediately shut down the situation.
However, Korean netizens noted that when seeing past text message exchanges, it didn't seem like he was as blameless as he made himself out to be in his apology.
K-netizens gathered on a Korean online community to share their thoughts.
"So what about the apology he wrote back then? If he didn't want to be mistaken as a member of that group chat, he should've just focused in on that."
"The hell, you didn't just exist in it, you laughed along with the lowlifes. Get lost, criminal."
"Hahaha he must need fans."
"Ah. Looks like he's trying make some sort of comeback."
"Disgusting."
"He making a comeback?"
"Did Hyuna make him do this?"
"Does he think if he writes something like this, he'll just be excused?"
"Guess he's trying to slowly make a comeback haha If you're actually sorry, just live quietly, and volunteer your time to good causes."
"If you're really sorry just retire."
"All of a sudden....??"
"Were you surprised that people didn't just forget even after time passed? Just forget about making any kind of comeback."
