Starship Entertainment has released a statement on safety concerns for IVE's Jang Won Young in response to recent threats.
On May 9, Starship made an official statement in response to a post threatening Jang Won Young online. The label stated as follows:
"Yesterday, a post threatening the safety of our artist, IVE's Jang Won Young, was posted to a community platform.
The post, which detailed the date and time the threat was made, has been reported to the police, who have begun an investigation. We have requested a swift investigation and protective measures for our artist, and we're prepared to take legal action as soon as the poster's identity is confirmed.
To ensure the safety of our artists, we're enlisting additional professional security personnel and reviewing the security of our artists' travel routes, residences, and workplaces. Moving forward, we'll intensify monitoring against any threat against our artists' safety and respond promptly and strongly.
We'll continue to do our best to protect the safety of our artists in the future."
